Trace Code

Every (linear) orthogonal array OA(M, s, S_b^uk) yields a (linear) OA(M, us, S_b, k) for all u ≥ 1. Correspondingly, every linear [s, n, d]-code over F_b^u with u ≥ 1 yields a linear [us, un, d]-code over F_b.

This construction can also be interpreted as concatenation with a [u, u, 1]-code without redundancy over F_b.
