Bound on Codes from Brouwer’s Database
Andries E. Brouwer’s online database of code parameters (http://www.win.tue.nl/~aeb/voorlincod.html, see also [1]) contains upper and lower bounds on the minimum distance of linear [s, n]-codes, with information available for codes up to a certain length s:
Size of base field | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
Maximal s | 257 | 243 | 256 | 130 | 50 | 130 | 130 |
Since MinT does not evaluate the information about the construction method provided by Brouwer’s database, all codes are assumed to be non-constructive and all bounds are assumed to be applicable only to linear codes.
